The Ayam Ketawa, also known as the Laughing Chicken, is a rare breed from Indonesia. It is known for it's hilarious crow, which sounds like a person laughing. The breed is a small sized chicken reminescent of the Indian Red Jungle Fowl. They lay small to medium sized white/tan eggs and are not known to be broody. The birds are alert, great foragers, and their crow brings a smile to our faces every time we hear it.

If you cannot take your hatching eggs or chicks for any reason, you will be moved to the next hatch date. We will allow up to 3 reschedules, after which, the amount paid and the items in the order are considered forfeit. No refunds. We have a limited number of hatching eggs and chicks each year. When you reserve eggs or chicks, you are keeping others from being able to place their order.

There are no returns or refunds. We only issue refunds if we cannot fulfill your order by the end of the 2025 season. Hatching eggs are sold in either 1/2 dozen or 1 dozen. We only ship within the state of California. If you have a shipping address that is outside of California, your order will be cancelled. If you'd like to have your hatching eggs or chicks shipped, please add the appropriate shipping at checkout. Minimum of 6 chicks and maximum of 12 chicks for shipping. Maximum of 2 dozen hatching eggs per order. If you need to order more than this, please place multiple orders. Otherwise, choose "Pickup". When your order is up next in line, you will be contacted with a pickup date.

If you are not able to receive your hatching eggs/chicks when your order is up next, you will be moved to the next hatch date. We allow only 3 reschedules, after which, your order and any amounts paid are considered forfeit. We will only issue a refund if we cannot fulfill your order by the end of the season.
We prefer local pickup in Fresno, California. We will ship hatching eggs and chicks only within the state of California. If your shipping address is outside the state of CA, your order will be cancelled. Hatching eggs are packed pointy side down in a custom foam shipper and shipped via USPS Priority Mail 2-3 Days ($40 flat rate). Chicks are shipped via USPS Priority Mail in an approved, ventilated box with grogel, feed, a nonslip nesting pad underfoot, and heat packs if needed ($70). Buyer can also choose USPS Priority Mail Express 1-2 Days for eggs ($70) or chicks ($100). All shipping costs include the 2025 USPS surcharge of $15 extra for perishable and live products. There is a minimum of 6 chicks and a maximum of 12 chicks per box. There is a max of 2 dozen hatching eggs per box. If you order more than 12 chicks or 2 dozen eggs for shipping, you will need to place multiple orders. Please choose the correct shipping amount at checkout or choose "Pickup" for local pickup. Hatching eggs, chicks, and poultry treatments cannot be shipped together. They must be shipped separately.
